The Street has reported on rumors that Barnes & Noble will sell a digital reader alongside Amazon Kindle and Sony Reader.
The rumors surfaced following the 2009 CTIA Wireless conference, where an unidentified insider speculated that the company would make a move into the e-reader market. Since the bookseller purchased e-book retailer Fictionwise, this hypothetical e-reader could have an important supplier.
Here’s an excerpt from the juicy post: “Barnes & Noble, the nation’s No. 1 bookstore chain, is working with a device maker and Sprint on a Kindle-like device, according to one wireless industry insider.”(Via Gadget Gurus)
