New York bookstore Revolution Books has found a new home in Harlem. The new location sits near Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture and Maysles Cinema.
The store needed to find a new location after the lease expired in its current space in Chelsea and the landlord found a new tenant after letting the store go month-to-month for a while. The store will move into its new location this fall.
In the meantime, they are looking to raise money to renovate, restock and promote the new store. “The fund raising goal is $150,000 — $70,000 of which is needed by July 15 to buy shelves, heating/air conditioner, flooring, the basics for opening the store,” the store owners explain on the site.
