The Great Super Bowl Book Club Beer Ad Controversy of 2009

During the Super Bowl last year, Bud Light unveiled the beer ad embedded above, poking fun at book clubs, male readers, female readers, and book reading in general.

The ad featured beer-drinking men crashing an all-women book club, playing with all sorts of stereotypes about American readers. It was one of the most controversial topics on our site last year.
