In this newly-created position, Morris is charged with developing and serving the Authors Guild’s membership. Morris has been an active literary advocate for almost two decades. He comes to the Guild from PEN America, where he most recently served as director of literary programs. Morris has also worked as general manager at BOMB Magazine, and as an associate editor at Viking Penguin.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the Authors Guild at this exciting moment of growth for the organization,” stated Morris. “With its long history of serving U.S.-published writers, the Guild has positioned itself to be on the front lines of an increasingly important and relevant conversation about literary advocacy.”
