National Geographic Puts Kids in the Story

By Dianna Dilworth

National Geographic Kids has teamed up with Sourcebooks to create two personalized books for kids: National Geographic Little Kids Book of Dinosaurs and National Geographic Little Kids Book of Animals.

The books allow care givers to put their child’s name and photos throughout the book along with a dedicated message. There is also a section at the end of each book in which kids can write about their favorite animals and dinosaurs. available now on PutMeInTheStory.com.

To promote the new books, the publisher is running the Little Explorer Drawing Contest. Interested kids can download the document, color it, and then share on social media along with the hashtag #ColorAndExplore in order to enter. The winner will get a four-day trip to San Diego in order to celebrate the zoo’s 100-year anniversary. The contest runs through June 17.
