Megan K. Stack Encourages Keeping A Journal

By Dianna Dilworth

Megan K. Stack says that keeping a journal is a great way to get to work on your book. Her big advice for writers: write.

We caught up with the author Every Man in This Village Is a Liar tonight at the 2010 National Book Awards. Her book is one of the finalists in the nonfiction category.

She also encourages aspiring writers to surround themselves with people who support their vision for the book. She says to find editors and agents who support your idea and your approach to writing the book.

“Don’t let someone else take your book apart,” says Stack. “Write the book you want to write.”
