BuzzFeed reports that two films will be developed into stand-alone stories starring a female heroine and a black superhero, Captain Marvel (a.k.a. Carol Danvers) and Black Panther (a.k.a. T’Challa). Chadwick Boseman will suit up as the Black Panther, but no leading lady has been announced to take on the role of Captain Marvel.
