Mariah Carey has signed a deal with the Random House Children’s Books imprint, Doubleday Books for Young Readers. Carey will transform her popular holiday song “All I Want For Christmas is You” into a picture book.
Carey gave this statement in the press release: “When I wrote ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ it was my dream for it to become a classic Christmas song. I am so proud of the song’s impact as it continues to create memories for fans each year. I am thrilled to be able to bring the story of the song to new generations of families with the picture book.”
The story stars a young girl who wants to receive a puppy for Christmas. The publisher has brought on Colleen Madden to create the illustrations for this project. The release date has been set for November 10. Click here to watch a music video with Carey’s track.
