Keith Ferrazzi, author of Never Eat Alone gave an informative talk today at Mediabistro’s Circus discussing “Who’s Got Your Back The Important Role of Relationships in Getting Ahead”. In it, he discussed the importance of creating what he called “Lifeline Groups”, also known as peer-to-peer support groups that you are accountable in reaching “learning goals” rather than physical goals.
He shared his personal stories of struggles with feelings of inadequacy even after the success of his New York Times Bestseller and discussed how he was able to break out of the self-sabotage by creating his own lifeline group.
“This is not a self-help book,” Ferrazzi said, “This is the world’s first ‘Let others help book’ ”
