Ever since author Seth Grahame-Smith’s work with zombies and Jane Austen, the literary mash-up trend has remained popular. Novelist Jason Pinter created the Twitter hashtag #badliterarymashups to parody the trend, publishing the hilarious results at the Huffington Post.

Here’s a taste:
-Eat Pray Naked Lunch
-Fall of the House of Usher, feat. Lil’ Jon
-Kafka on the Jersey Shore
-Running with Edward Scissorhands
-The Other Boleyn Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Out of pure curiosity, this GalleyCat contributor clicked on the hashtag to see what Twitter users were up to in real time. As you can see, hilarity ensued (especially at the idea of Barack Obama and Tucker Max) More follow below…

-The Audacity of Hope They Serve Beer in Hell
-Brave New World According to Garp
-Anne Frank: The Motorcycle Diaries Of A Young Girl
-The Man Who Mistook His Wife for the Cat in the Hat
-Of Mice and Mad Men

Recently, news broke that Grahame-Smith will collaborate with Edward Scissorhands director, Tim Burton–writing the screenplay for Burton’s upcoming film adaptation of the classic vampire television series, Dark Shadows.
