Literary agent and former Simon & Schuster editor Jonathan Dolger passed away on New Year’s Day.

Dolger worked with authors in both fiction and nonfiction. He represented Rebecca Wells, author of The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood and Little Altars Everywhere. During his time as an editor, he published M. Scott Peck’s The Road Less Traveled.

Dee Ratterree left a comment in the guest book accompanying the New York Times obituary:  “Dolge: Bon vivant, mentor, mensch. Love always, Rat.” (photo via Horia Varlan)
