Writer/director Lena Dunham and her Girls producing partner Jenni Konner are launching a new email newsletter together called Lenny. Recently, the collaborators posted Fiction Issue No. 1 online, which features Dunham’s first short story.
Entertaiment Weekly reports that the story, called Six Sausages, is about a woman who is nervously anticipating a visit from a possible love interest. Here’s an excerpt from the piece:
“She had asked him, again and again, if he would visit, finally offering to buy the ticket with her own money, which really meant her parents’ money. It took him another three weeks to decide if he could live with the ambiguous morality of this before he finally accepted the flight. And now he was here.”
