Kidnapping Victims Interviewed for Book

By Maryann Yin

FoFmary4_3_edited-1Ariel Castro kidnapping survivors Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus will collaborate with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Mary Jordan on an upcoming book about their experience.

Jordan (pictured, via) will interview Berry and DeJesus to tell their story. Williams & Connolly attorney Robert Barnett will negotiate the deal. At this point in time, no publication date has been scheduled. Here’s more about the book:

Berry and DeJesus, who, along with Michelle Knight, spent a decade in captivity — chained and shuttered inside the home of Ariel Castro on Cleveland’s near West Side — before escaping on May 6, when Berry kicked out a panel in the front door and crawled to freedom with the help of neighbors responding to her cries for help.
