Kickstarter Features a Children’s Book on Kindness

By Maryann Yin

Writer Shervin Youssefian hopes to raise $7,500 on Kickstarter for her chidren’s book project. Youssefian’s young niece Chloe inspired her to write The Story of My Face: A Story About Getting Along.

With this project, Youssefian hopes to teach young readers kindness. The finished book will contain 27 pages and full-color illustrations. We’ve embedded a video about the project above. Here’s more from the Kickstarter page:

“The vision for The Story of My Face is to achieve what other books like To Kill a Mockingbird have achieved. To plant seeds of tolerance and love in the hearts of our children. Seeds that will grow into oaks of kindness all around the world.”
