Kendall Jenner (pictured, via) and Kylie Jenner, two stars from reality TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, have inked a book deal for a not-yet-titled YA novel due out in summer 2013.
According to E! Online, the teenage sisters have landed a book deal with Karen Hunter‘s imprint at Simon & Schuster. High Before Homeroom author Maya Sloane has signed on as a co-writer. It has not yet been determined whether this book will be the first of a series or a stand-alone title.
Here’s more from VH1.com: “Their debut novel, intended for the young-adult reader, is set 200 years in the future and will involve two sisters — shocker! Fans of successful YA series like Twilight, Harry Potter, and The Hunger Games, they are hoping their book will draw in a similar following.”
So far, the news has not garnered a lot of positive reactions. Below, we’ve embedded a few comments posted across the Twittersphere.
