Bestselling author John Grisham is giving away his new book The Tumor, for free on Amazon to raise awareness about a medical procedure called focused ultrasound.
Grisham explained to CBS News why he wasn’t charging any money for the 47-page title. “The Tumor’ is the only book I’ve written that has the potential of advancing some technology that will have a profound impact on the lives of millions of people,” he told CBS.
“After 37 books or 38 books, I can look back and say, ‘yeah that was a good one. I’m proud of that book,'” he continued. “Others I can look back and say ‘well I’m not sure about that one.’ I’ll never do that with ‘The Tumor’… because it is what it is. If it finds a much bigger market, if it finds people to push our research to get us there, that’s the purpose of the book.”
