We’ve collected the books debuting on Indiebound’s Indie Bestseller List for the week ending January 15, 2012–a sneak peek at the books everybody will be talking about next month.

(Debuted at #1 in Children’s Interest) The Fault in Our Stars by John Green: “Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.” (January 2012)

(Debuted at #2 in Hardcover Fiction) Believing the Lie by Elizabeth George: “Inspector Thomas Lynley is mystified when he’s sent undercover to investigate the death of Ian Cresswell at the request of the man’s uncle, the wealthy and influential Bernard Fairclough. The death has been ruled an accidental drowning, and nothing on the surface indicates otherwise. But when Lynley enlists the help of his friends Simon and Deborah St. James, the trio’s digging soon reveals that the Fairclough clan is awash in secrets, lies, and motives.” (January 2012)

(Debuted at #8 in Children’s Illustrated) Llama Llama Nighty–Night by Anna Dewdney: “What’s the best part of bedtime? Stories with Mama! Before cuddling, Llama Llama must splish and splash in the tub, then put his red pajamas on.” (January 2012)
