Jill Freshney has been promoted to senior executive managing editor at the Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group.
Freshney has been with the company for more than six years. In this newly-created position, she will report directly to associate publisher and vice president Angus Killick.
In her new role, Freshney will oversee the managing editorial and copy editing department for the entire children’s books division. She will also supervise freelance copy editors and focus on consolidating the managing editorial team.
