Jeremy Davies and Corbin Bernsen Cast on the American Gods TV Show

American Gods Concept Art (GalleyCat)Jeremy Davies and Corbin Bernsen have landed roles on the American Gods television series. Davies will play Jesus and Bernsen will play Vulcan.

According to Empire Magazine, the story for this television adaptation will be based on Neil Gaiman’s popular fantasy novel. Earlier this year, Starz announced several castings: Ricky Whittle as Shadow MoonEmily Browning as Laura MoonIan McShane as Mr. WednesdayYetide Badaki as BilquisGillian Anderson as MediaDane Cook as Robbie, and Kristen Chenoweth as Easter/Ēostre. The premiere episode will air in 2017.

Here’s more from Deadline: “The plot of American Gods posits a war brewing between old and new gods: the traditional gods of mythological roots from around the world steadily losing believers to an upstart pantheon of gods reflecting society’s modern love of money, technology, media, celebrity and drugs.
