iStoryBooks, the company behind the popular children’s eBook app, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund a new series of eBooks dedicated to teaching kids about the environment.
The company hopes to raise $3,000 to fund the first eBook which is called Waste Not, Want Not. The funding will be used to produce original illustrations, coloring pages and audio narration. Here is more about the stories from the Kickstarter page:
In the first book in the Our Planet, Our Home series, Lincoln’s aunt will not give him new batteries for his game because he didn’t turn it off when he was done playing with it and he had wasted most of the batteries. This leads to a discussion between cousins, Lincoln and Laura, about wastefulness. Eventually, Laura’s mother joins in and teaches the children why it’s important to conserve the earth’s resources and how conservation can have a global impact.
