Hachette’s Tom Maciag & Gerry Cummings to Retire

Tom Maciag, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Hachette Book Group, along with Gerry Cummings, Senior Vice President for Distribution at the publisher, are getting ready to retire.

Maciag, who has been with the company for 25 years, and Cummings, who has spent 35 years with the company, will both retire in the coming months.

Stephen Mubarek, SVP Finance and Controller, will take over Maciag’s role and serve as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer effective March 9Frank Casolaro, Executive Director, Operations will fill Cummings’ role as VP, Distribution beginning March 30.
