Following up on Senior Editor Ron Hogan’s essay, Can You Sell Comic Books in This Economy?, GalleyCat caught up with a comics legend at the NYC Comics Con for this video interview– finding out how the recession has treated the graphic novel market.

After a lifetime spent in comic books–writing comics for everybody from Spiderman to Howard the Duck–Danny Fingeroth has found a second career writing about comics. Following the success of his print book, Superman on the Couch: What Superheroes Really Tell Us About Ourselves and Our Society, Fingeroth just published his new book, The Rough Guide to Graphic Novels. GalleyCat prowled the teeming, costumed crowd of true-believers at Comic Con this year, uncovering some vital intelligence about this flourishing corner of the publishing industry.
