Google eBookstore: The Morning After

By Jason Boog

After having 24-hours to play with the new Google eBookstore (the platform formerly known as Google Editons), digital book readers are already debating the program.

In the Help Forums, one Google eBookstore user garnered the support of 32 readers by writing: “Without Kindle support this store is dead in the water.” Another reader responded: “If you have other ereaders, you can buy books from B&N, Sony, Google Books, Borders.com, etc. and even get books from the library. This is made possible through adoption of a universal format – ePUB.”

What do you think? In other Google eBookstore analysis, we looked at eBook pricing, customer reviews of eBooks, and indie bookseller responses to the new site. (Link via Mike Cane)
