God Grants Entertainment Weekly an Interview About His Book

By Maryann Yin

s&slogo23.jpgRecently Simon & Schuster brokered a deal to release a book written by God. Now, with a little help from The Daily Show executive producer David Javerbaum, God has granted Entertainment Weekly‘s Shelf-Life blog an interview.

There, God revealed some details about His forthcoming book. He explained: “My topics shall include: The secret history of Adam and Steve; what it was like working with Moses, St. Peter, Mohammed, and other legends of the field; which sports teams I truly root for (hint: Go Blue Jackets!); and, because I can see everyone at all times, I will have much to offer by way of celebrity gossip. It will be in a section that I will call ‘God-sip!’ ‘Getteth it?'”

The author cited “Aesop, The Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen, and James Frey” as his influences. The currently untitled book will be attached to the Twitter feed, The Tweet of God. Followers should expect a late 2011 release.
