Today Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) launched a free edition of the Kindle digital reader for PC users–bringing 360,000 books to U.S. readers on home computers and laptops.
In addition to the Kindle Reader, Amazon customers can now read and purchase digital books on three extra devices: the iPhone, the iPod touch and the PC. Currently, Kindle newspapers, magazines, and blogs are not available for the PC application. The release notes that a Mac edition is forthcoming.
