This week HarperCollins promoted Farrin Jacobs to editorial director in the children’s division. Jacobs had led the teen series team at the publisher, overseeing Lauren Conrad’s LA Candy series, Pretty Little Liars, and Vampire Diaries.
Before joining HarperCollins, she served as an editor at Red Dress Ink
and as Inside.com’s publishing reporter. She also wrote the chick-lit handbook, See Jane Write.
In addition, Erica Sussman has been promoted to senior editor in the children’s division. She had helmed the Warriors series by Erin Hunter and recently acquired Kiersten White’s Paranormalcy series.
