Evan Dorkin and Jill Thompson have signed a deal with Dark Horse Comics for a Beasts of Burden book. In the past, the collaborators have won multiple Eisner Awards for this series.
Dorkin and Thompson plan to create a new one-shot called What the Cat Dragged In. The publication date has been set for May 4.
According to the press release, the story starts when “curiosity gets the best of Burden Hill’s cats (and one reluctant raccoon).” Unfortunately for the protagonists, “sleeping demons are awakened and black magic is unleashed on the town of Burden Hill.”
