Digital publishing house Open Road Integrated Media is taking a cue from traditional publishing houses by launching a new imprint for a specific genre of eBooks. The new eBook imprint, called Iconic eBooks, will include influential titles from any category including memoirs, fiction and nonfiction.

eBookNewser has more: “The new imprint launches with a new eBook version of Erica Jong’s Fear of Flying, the controversial 1973 novel about female sexuality. Additional titles under the new umbrella include the previously published The Prince of Tides by Pat Conroy, Chaos: Making a New Science by James Gleick and From Here to Eternity by James Jones.”

Open Road’s CEO Jane Friedman explained in the release: “A core mission of Open Road is to bring many of the most influential and acclaimed books to ‘e’ to connect them once again with readers. Erica Jong’s Fear of Flying fits this bill perfectly as it absolutely transformed parts of our culture. It is iconic in every sense of the word, and we are proud to launch our new imprint with its publication.”
