eBookNewser Radio

npr.pngAs we count the hours to Apple’s big announcement at 10am PT (1pm ET), our digital sibling eBookNewser has been all over the news this morning.

Craig Morgan Teicher, publishing journalist and editor of eBookNewser, was the guest on the Morning Media Menu episode embedded below. We discussed the low number of subscribers paying to access content behind the Newsday paywall–laying out some of publishing’s (both books and magazines) biggest problems.

eBookNewser showed up on NPR as well. Here’s an excerpt: “This blogger was indeed on this morning’s NPR Morning Edition talking about the Apple tablet. Here’s a transcription of the piece, with the audio. NPR correspondent Lynn Neary wanted to get a sense of what the publishing industry is hoping for from Apple’s tablet (which better be announced today, or we’re all going to pull our hair out).”
