Dutton Children’s Books Names New Executive Editor

p2323.jpgPenguin Group announced yesterday that Nancy Conescu will join Dutton Children’s Books as Executive Editor, starting in early July.

Conescu will be coming from Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, where she was a senior editor. In the statement, President and Publisher Lauri Hornik said that Conescu brings “a strong design sensibility to all of her projects.” Previously, she’s worked on New York Times Bestsellers ghostgirl by Tonya Hurley and Nubs: The True Story of a Mutt, a Marine & a Miracle by Kirby Larson, Mary Nethery, and Major Brian Dennis. Conescu will report to Hornik.
