J.K. Rowling has a reputation for delighting her readers on Twitter. Check out the tweet above, with the wand designs for five characters set to appear in the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy and Ginny Weasley.
Up until now, only the main trio from the original series (Harry, Ron, and Hermione) were confirmed to be featured in this two-part theatrical production. The three star protagonists will be played by Jamie Parker, Paul Thornley, and Noma Dumezweni. At this point in time, the producers have not announced, who will take on the roles of Slytherin House’s infamous bully and Harry’s cherished wife (who is also Ron’s little sister).
Bustle reports that the opening date has been set for July 30. The story, the eighth installment of Rowling’s beloved book series, takes place 19 years after the events of the Battle of Hogwarts. For the fans who can’t make the trip to London, Scholastic will be publishing the script as a book on July 31. (via BuzzFeed)
