PW Daily reported yesterday that Disney Publishing, currently in offices at 114 Fifth Avenue in New York City, is relocating 175 of its 225 employees to a “state of the art” office facility in the Manhattan suburb, according to v-p of communications April Hattori. The move, which begins in October and should be completed by December is affecting staffers on both the magazine and book sides of the division; Hyperion‘s adult group is not affected by the move and will stay at its 66th Street location. Hattori also said that 20 editorial staffers from Disney Press, Hyperion Books for Children and Disney Editions will remain in Manhattan relocating to a “midtown location near Grand Central.”

In related news, former Disney head Deborah Dugan was named president and CEO of Entertainment Rights North America. Based in the U.K., ER owns a range of children’s and family programming as well as characters and brands.
