Director Garry Marshall Hopes to Shoot Princess Diaries 3

Princess Diaries Cover (GalleyCat)Garry Marshall, a director, and Anne Hathaway, an actress, may return for a third Princess Diaries movie. The story for these adaptation projects were inspired by Meg Cabot’s eleven-part young adult book series.

Here’s more from Vanity Fair: “The first film, which introduced the world to Hathaway, as Mia Thermopolis, debuted in 2001; the second was released in 2004. (Thanks to a quick Wikipedia refresher, we can inform you that the second film ends with Mia becoming queen and sharing a “romantic kiss” with a love interest played by Chris Pine.)”

In an interview with People Magazine, Marshall revealed that the new movie may be set in New York City. At this point in time, it has not been revealed whether or not Julie Andrews will return to reprise the role of Queen Clarisse Renaldi. (via BuzzFeed)
