the_lost_symbol-1.jpgIn September, The Today Show will celebrate the release of Dan Brown‘s new novel, “The Lost Symbol,” with a week-long, televised treasure hunt dedicated to the book.

Here’s more from the release: “In recent weeks, Matt Lauer has been busy traveling to top-secret locations that play key roles in ‘The Lost Symbol.’ Beginning Tuesday, September 8, ‘Today’ will reveal exclusive clues to these locations, one clue a day through September 15. The book’s most important scenes take place in these locations, and viewers are encouraged to log onto TODAYshow.com each day to try to solve the mystery. ‘Today’ will reveal the answers to all of the clues Wednesday, September 16, after the book’s release.”

The morning show has made daily publishing headlines this week, as yesterday they announced that author and former First Daughter Jenna Bush would serve as a monthly correspondent. Brown’s fans can check out more at his elaborate website, and Brown’s detractors can play GalleyCat’s “Nickname Dan Brown’s Release Date” game.
