Crook’s Corner Book Prize Reveals Shortlist

The Crook’s Corner Book Prize has revealed the three finalists for the best debut novel set in the American South.

The three finalists include: Mulberry by Paulette Boudreaux (Carolina Wren Press); Over the Plain Houses by Julia Franks (Hub City Press); and Hide by Matthew Griffin (Bloomsbury). The finalists were selected by this year’s judge, Tom Franklin, author of the bestseller Crooked Letter.

The winner of the 4th annual prize will earn $5,000 (up from $1,000 in previous years). The winner will be revealed January 16, 2017 at Crook’s Corner Café & Bar in Chapel Hill, NC.
