Charles Day Joins Melville House

Charles Day has been named director of digital marketing and publicity at Melville House.

Day will focus on Melville House’s book apps and eBook sales. He will also maintain relations with independent booksellers and encourage digital age sales strategies. He explained in the release:  “I can’t think of a publisher doing more exciting work with a clearer vision of the future and the present than Melville House.”

Day began his publishing career as a marketing manager at Book Soup Bookstore. He also founded the independent publisher, A Barnacle Book. He currently sits on the board at PEN Center USA.
