The British Library is hosting an exhibit called “Magna Carta: Law, Liberty, Legacy.” One of the items being displayed is a medieval sword with a mysterious inscription.
According to the organization’s blog post, the engraving reads: “+NDXOXCHWDRGHDXORVI+.” Nobody knows what language the message was written in.
The world has been invited to try to crack this case—what do you think? Keep in mind that if you want to get a look at the actual sword, the closing date for the Magna Carta exhibit has been scheduled for September 1. (via Mashable)
