Borders announced they will launch an eBookstore in June, just in time for the June 17 launch of Kobo eReader.
Priced at $149.99, the Kobo eReader will give the $259 Amazon Kindle a run for it’s E-Ink money.
Here’s more analysis from eBookNewser: “The Borders eBookstore will be powered by Kobo, so, as you can see above, Borders is also taking pre-orders for the Kobo eReader, which will at last be available June 17th. Borders promises to offer apps for various platforms and devices–again using Kobo’s functionality–nothing too surprising. With Google also entering the eBook marketplace, we’ll have two new big players and stores to choose from.”
