Booked: Revolutions & Manifestos

There’s a full month of literary events coming up in today’s Booked feature.

The New Yorker Festival is hosting tons of events from October 1st to October 3rd. Authors who are participating include Stephen King, Malcolm Gladwell, Neil Gaiman, and many others. (New York, NY)

Dick Weissman will be doing a reading, signing, and music demonstration on music and social change in America to promote his book Talkin’ ‘Bout a Revolution on Friday October 22nd starting 6:30pm at Daedalus Books. (Portland, OR)

Symphony Space is the venue for an upcoming Leonard Bernstein celebration. Steve Sherman, author of Leonard Bernstein: At Work is hosting the concert and it will be held on Friday October 22nd starting at 7:30pm. (New York, NY)

Cartoonist and columnist Ted Rall will speak about his book, The Anti-American Manifesto at the Eugene Library on Thursday October 7th at 6pm. (Eugene, OR)
