Bob Dylan Hasn’t Commented on Nobel Prize Win

The Swedish Academy revealed that Bob Dylan won the Nobel Prize for Literature last week, but the songwriter has yet to comment on the news.

BBC has the scoop:

“Right now we are doing nothing,” said Sara Danius, permanent secretary of the Swedish Academy.

“I have called and sent emails to his closest collaborator and received very friendly replies. For now, that is certainly enough.”

Dylan was selected for the prize “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.” If he fails to respond to the honor, the party will still go on.
