Bloomsbury U.K. will publish Neil Gaiman’s short story, The Sleeper and the Spindle, as a book.
Gaiman drew inspiration for this piece from the “Sleeping Beauty” fairy tale. It was originally published in a 2013 anthology entitled Rags & Bones: New Twists on Timeless Tales.
Artist Chris Riddell created illustrations for this project. The U.K. publication date has been scheduled for October 23, 2014. U.S. readers will have to wait a bit longer for their own version. HarperCollins won’t be publishing the American edition until Fall 2015.
