Barnes & Noble Releases New Nook

TabA_Mediakit_08_ShopBarnes & Noble has teamed up with Samsung Electronics America for a new Samsung Galaxy Tab A NOOK, the newest to the line.

The new 7-inch device features an enhanced digital bookstore, more storage, as well as a 2MP front-facing camera, GPS, as well as an integrated FM tuner for radio.

The enhanced bookstore is part of the V4.6 Nook software update. The update features  B&N Readouts, a new way of browsing e-books that is designed to make it more like shipping in a physical store. The device also features a new battery which boasts “up to 11 hours of Internet usage.” The e-reader comes with 8GB of storage which can go up to 200GB via a microSD card.

The device costs $139.99, and existing customers can upgrade to the new model for $99.99, by trading in or showing proof of purchase at any Barnes & Noble store.
