Andy Weir discussed his next novel in an interview with Smithsonian Magazine. The new project will feature a highly accurate science fiction story that stars a female protagonist.
Weir explains: “The main character is a low-level criminal in a city on the moon. Her challenges are a mix of technical/scientific problems, as well as juggling personal interactions staying a step ahead of the local police, working with shady and dangerous people to do illegal things.”
Weir has become well-known as the author behind The Martian. This book served as the inspiration for a popular movie adaptation with Matt Damon in the lead role. (via io9)
