AKindleaumazon has opened a Kindle Store in Australia and is now selling both Kindle devices and eBooks.

The Australian Kindle Store has more than 2 million eBooks including more than 400,000 Kindle-exclusive titles. Amazon’s Kindle Daily Deal feature, a flash sale on Kindle books, is also available to Australian consumers. In a curious note about Australian privacy law, versus U.S. law Amazon.com.au discloses on the homepage, “Amazon uses cookies,” with a link to learn more about these online tracking tools.

Amazon is also selling its various Kindle devices through Australian retail partners Dick Smith and Big W stores. These shops will carry the Kindle Paperwhite, the Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HDX tablets.
