Author Richard Ben Cramer has stopped working on The Importance of Being Alex: A Life With the Yankees, his biography of baseball player Alex Rodriguez.
Despite having worked on the book for more than three years, the book, which was slated for publication in 2014, has been “shelved for the time being.”
Cramer, who previously wrote a book on Joe Dimaggio, is now working on another project. Cramer told The New York Daily News: “The thing with a book is you don’t know where you stand with it. It never looks like a book until it’s done. I’m eager to get done with what I’m doing so I can get back on the book.”
