Ain’t No Party Like a GalleyCat Party

By Neal

Thanks to everyone who made it down to Lolita last night for the official GalleyCat pre-BookExpo party. Sarah and I had a great time meeting as many of you as we did, even if all we ever got to do was wave at you from across the room. I was especially thrilled by an unexpected appearance by Art in America editor Ted Mooney, who’s also the author of totally awesome novels like Easy Travel to Other Planets and Singing into the Piano, and should have a new novel coming out in the near future. There were literally dozens of other people I was glad to reconnect with or meet in person for the first time; if I started listing them all, I wouldn’t actually get to do anything at BEA today.

But I did want to share this candid shot, in which our guest of honor, Mergers & Acquisitions author Dana Vachon, takes a moment from the festivities to confer with his Riverhead publicist, Matt Venzon, plotting an official response to Gawker‘s latest little dig.
