Logan Paul Attempts to Salvage His Image by Donating $1 Million to Suicide Prevention

By Christine Zosche

Disgraced YouTuber Logan Paul has returned to YouTube less than a month after releasing an insensitive vlog showing a man who had died by suicide. Paul has used his comeback, which he knew would be widely viewed and criticized, for suicide awareness. (Mashable)

Paul released the video “to further understand the complexities of suicide” in the wake of widespread criticism over an early January post that showed the image of a suicide victim in Japan’s Aokigahara Forest. (THR)

In the video, Paul says he knows he’s “made mistakes” and that he “let people down.” He also talks to a man who attempted suicide and experts on the subjects, to help be “part of the solution.” At the end of the video, he promises to make an effort to “immerse himself in the conversation.” (Deadline)
