Kansas City-based VML is the latest WPP shop to join the MillerCoors roster, as sources familiar with the matter confirm that said agency has been tapped to replace Razorfish as digital AOR for the Coors and Coors Light brands. Of course, we’re sure most of you recall that MillerCoors parted ways with longtime agency Draftfcb as well as Razorfish at the beginning of this month, replacing the former with a new, Chicago-based WPP unit that features folks from Y&R, Ogilvy, JWT and Grey.
As for VML, the agency’s no stranger to the brew business, having been named digital AOR for InBev’s Stella Artois last summer, though the brand is currently not featured on the website. Hmm. We’re checking to see what’s up.
