The Martin Agency Adds Trio of CDs

The Martin Agency announced a slew of new hires, amongst them associate creative directors Marcelo Mariano and David Byrd, and vice president, creative director Josh Leutz.

Mariano arrives at the agency from JWT Brazil, where he spent nearly two years as an associate creative director on the agency’s Ford account. Prior to JWT, he spent a year in the same position with R/Ga, working on TIM BETA and TIM Liberty. That followed a 7-month stint as an interactive art director with Sid Lee, during which time he worked with Dell, Alienware and Ubisoft. Prior to Sid Lee, he served as a senior art director with DM9DDB, F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi and Proximity BBDO, working with clients including Nike, Gillette, Skol Beer, Honda, Intel and Whirlpool.

Byrd arrives from EVB, where he spent nearly two years as a design director/creative director, working with clients including Contadina and College Inn. Prior to EVB, Byrd spent three years as a creative with Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, where he counted Chevy amongst his clients. That followed under a year at Wieden + Kennedy, serving as an art director.

Leutz arrives at the agency from Butler Shine Stern & Partners, where he spent the past four years as a creative director, working with clients such as BMW, Google, Priceline.com and Roku. Prior to joining Butler Shine Stern & Partners, Leutz spent a year with McKinney as an associate creative director, where he worked on Travelocity and EAS Sports Nutrition.

Among the other hires by The Martin Agency are senior art directors Marco Worsham, Beth Fujiura, Scot Crooker and Alex Herwig; senior copywriters Casey Hall, Andrew Maaldrink and Mik Manulik; and art director Jesse Mitchell.
