Nearly seven months after joining forces with fellow senior creative, Joe Volpicelli, Rick Doerr has been bumped up to the big chair, taking on the role of president/chief client officer. Doerr has spent nearly a year as SVP/managing director of T3’s New York office. The new appointee is no stranger to the Big Apple, though, having served as an SVP/managing director at the aforementioned, Omnicom-owned agency’s local office. Doerr replaces Gay Gaddis at T3. The latter exec, who founded the agency back in 1989, will drop the president title, but retain her role as CEO at the Texas-based agency.
As for Doerr, the exec has worked with a client roster including Allstate, Chase, Sprite and UPS during his time at T3.
